Monday was the deadline for health care workers to get their COVID-19 booster shots in New Jersey.
Hospitals, nursing homes and other health care centers can begin terminating employees who have not gotten their COVID-19 booster shots as of today.

Hospital executives are asking Gov. Phil Murphy to postpone the deadline for all health care workers to receive a COVID-19 booster shot for a 90-day extension.
It could affect tens of thousands of employees who have yet to receive their boosters.
