The Haynes Avenue Bridge over the Northeast Corridor Railroad tracks in Newark will close for construction this evening.

The intersection at Haynes Avenue and Bessemer Street will close for approximately nine months, and drivers will be detoured throughout the project’s duration, News 12 is told.

The project will add a roundabout, third lane and shoulder between the Haynes Avenue exit ramp and Anhueser-Busch entrance ramp.

The southbound ramps off routes 1 and 9 will also be repaved, officials say.
