Some owners at the Jersey Shore are concerned about a new tax placed on properties not rented through realtors.
The tax went through last October, and back then a number of people who privately rented out their homes for the summer were concerned because the 12-14 percent tax would add hundreds of dollars to a week's vacation at the Jersey Shore.
Private home owners are hoping to get lawmakers in Trenton to clarify the new bill and make private home owners exempt before they say it ends up costing people a lot more for a short-term getaway.
This tax applies to private homeowners and Airbnb users. Realtors are exempt.
