(08/28/06) TOTOWA ? Family members of a deceased man say they received the shock of a lifetime when they arrived at the cemetery to bury their relative.
Relatives say they purchased a gravesite for Rododulfo Vasquez so he could be buried 20 yards from his wife. However, they say they arrived at the cemetery to find his plot more than a half mile away from where it should have been. According to relatives, the cemetery said frequent rains could cause the original grave to collapse.
Family members say after an hour of arguing, the cemetery agreed to dig a new grave closer to the wife?s plot. Representatives of Laurel Grove did not return News 12 New Jersey?s call for comment.
