The stork has been pretty busy at Great Adventure?s Wild Safari park in Jackson.
The staff has been calling it an animal baby boom. Workers say at least 70 animals have been born in the safari since January. There are bison babies, a newborn zebra, baby swans, baby llamas and little aoudads. There are also European brown bear cubs.
According to the staff, most of the births are planned. Park officials say the staff analyzes ages and sex distribution within each species and then decides which to breed. Most of the time the males and females in each species are separated.
The baby boom is expected to continue through the summer.
