There are overwhelming requests for immediate help to Gov. Phil Murphy from residents in Ocean County recently flooded out of their homes.
Many of the seniors are exhausted from their ordeal this week, forced out of their flood-ravaged homes
They certainly had the energy to question the governor as he took a tour of the area this morning.
Gov. Murphy entered several houses and saw the extensive damage. Many of the homeowners have no flood insurance and say they're in immediate help.
Residents asked why a flood now since it never happened before, and many blame construction on the Garden State Parkway just behind the development.
On the topic of financial assistances, residents were told the state is in the process of filing with the federal government.
There is no word yet on if or when that might be available.
Brick's mayor is also warning residents to watch out for shady contractors and says anyone who's home suffered flooding in Brick needs to alert the township for future assistance.
