New Jersey's top lawmaker reacted to the recent revival of a mask mandate in Passaic public schools, but stopped short of saying a statewide requirement could be coming soon.
Gov. Phil Murphy says it's likely that other school districts could implement similar measures due to rising case numbers of flu, RSV and COVID-19.
However, he said a statewide mandate is unlikely except in the places that you "absolutely have to have them," like health care centers.
