United States Congressional Democratic candidate Laura Gillen made several stops on her campaign trail prior to Election Day.
The former Hempstead town supervisor began the day in Freeport before going to Elmont, Lynbrook and Long Beach.
Her team is also making calls, knocking on doors and greeting constituents at supermarkets.
"We see a drop in turnout in midterm elections, so we want to get that base out, get our voters out to make sure we win this district," Gillen says.
She is running against Republican candidate Anthony D'Esposito for New York's 4th Congressional District.
Gillen says she will be out at the Freeport Long Island Rail Road station Election Day morning.
