Who is the better New York team?
The New York Jets pulled out a 13-10 overtime win over Big Blue in a rain-soaked, bragging rights game at MetLife Stadium.
Sunday’s game was more of a defensive battle as the Jets defense proved to dominate in the first half of the game. In the end, the New York Giants blew their lead with Graham Gano’s missed field goal kick in the final seconds of the game, giving Jets life in overtime.
Giants quarterback Daniel Jones missed his third straight game with a neck injury, and Tyrod Taylor started, again. However, Taylor was injured midway through the second quarter. He was hospitalized with what the team said is a rib cage injury.

Taylor was replaced by third-stringer Tommy DeVito, an undrafted rookie out of Syracuse who grew up in Cedar Grove.
“Hoping that he’s healthy and everything’s going well,” DeVito said. “I don’t have any updates with that or anything, but it’s time to go. It’s kind of the same thing that Tyrod’s been telling me about how he prepares and what goes through his head because it’s tough. You never know what play it is, what time it is, if it’s going to happen, if it’s not going to happen.”
“So, there’s a tough part about staying ready, being ready for that role, which is what makes that position so difficult," he said.
In his first-ever NFL game, the former Don Bosco star ran for a touchdown but finished 2 of 7 passing for minus-1 yard.

The Giants’ chances of getting back to the playoffs for a second straight season are fading.
The team finished with minus-9 yards net passing. It's the fewest in an NFL game since the Browns had that total against the Jaguars in 2000.
Coming up: The Jets will host the Los Angeles Chargers next Monday night. And the Giants head to Las Vegas Sunday to face the Raiders.
