The St. Peter's University men's basketball team's historic win over Kentucky left generations of Peacock faithful celebrating Friday.
The win put St. Peter's on the map. Ted and Terry Kwiatkowski, classes of 1970 and 1972, are season ticket holders who watched the game in person in Indianapolis.
"It's overwhelming the interest and how this state has embraced us for a change. St. Peter's Peacocks are strutting like they've never strutted before," says Kwiatkowski. "We beat Kentucky."
Eugene O'Connell played for the school's legendary 1968 team, which beat Duke in the National Invitational Tournament.
O'Connell is now accepting second place after the team defeated Kentucky.
