According to AAA, the current average price of regular gas is $2.88 per gallon. Last year at this time, AAA says the average price per gallon was $2.34.
There are a few things Bronx drivers can do to save money and increase gas mileage. The U.S. Department of Energy recommends slowing down and not driving more than 60 miles per hour. Energy officials also suggest using cruise control to stay at a steady speed. Residents are also urged to keep their cars tuned with regular oil changes and air filter replacements.
