Christian Alfonso, a Galloway man, has pleaded guilty to participating in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

Alfonso initially lied to FBI agents, denying entry into the Capitol building. However, investigators matched security footage with his social media posts, revealing his presence inside Nancy Pelosi's office.

Alfonso admitted to posting photos and videos from the event on Instagram, claiming they were from other sources.

His social media activity contradicted his initial statement, leading to the guilty plea.
