Fruit puree pouches recalled over possible elevated lead levels

The FDA found the fruit pouches may be to blame for elevated blood lead levels in some children in North Carolina.

The FDA says the WanaBana Apple Cinnamon Fruit Puree Pouches may contain extremely high concentrations of lead.

The FDA found they may be to blame for elevated blood lead levels in some children in North Carolina.

The fruit pouches are sold nationally at several retailers including Sam’s Club, Amazon and Dollar Tree.

Wanabana agreed to voluntarily recall the pouches.
