A Plainfield city worker who was ousted from her role on the planning board after being caught on video making offensive comments has now stepped down from her role at HOPES CAP, Inc., a charitable organization.
HOPES CAP, Inc. is a nonprofit in Hoboken, Plainfield, and Somerset, serving low-income individuals and fight the causes of poverty.
Carmancita Pile was previously removed from her position on Plainfield’s planning board. Pile was captured on video making insensitive comments toward those who lost their homes due to an apartment building being condemned in Plainfield.
Pile told News 12 New Jersey she understands and agrees with Mayor's Adrian Mapp’s decision to remove her from her role. She once again apologized for her comments.
