yesterdayJoseph Schwartz, the former owner of several embattled-nursing homes in New Jersey, now faces Medicaid fraud charges in Arkansas.
Schwartz once owned the Andover Subacute and Rehabilitation Center in Sussex County.
During the onset of the pandemic, that facility was fined for operating a makeshift morgue, where 17 bodies were found.
Now, he's charged with inflating rates at eight nursing homes in Arkansas. This equated to a $3.6 million scheme.
Schwartz is due to appear in court in January.
