? A former New Jersey State trooper pleaded guilty Thursday in an Elizabeth court to charges stemming from a drug operation.
Moises Hernandez, 39, faces up to 24 years in prison for charges of conspiracy to distribute cocaine, money laundering and witness tampering. Authorities say Hernandez used street dealers to push cocaine and he laundered the money through a trucking company and his own landscaping business. Hernandez was heard on a wiretap tipping off a drug dealer about an investigation a year ago. Authorities call the former state trooper a disgrace to his profession.
Hernandez is scheduled to be sentenced in July.
