A former teacher and Boy Scout counselor was sentenced Wednesday to 18 months in state prison for sexually abusing a 15-year-old camper, prosecutors say.

Authorities in Warren County say Colin Skeele, 37, of Florham Park, engaged in a sexual relationship with a camper at Boy Scouts of America Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco in Hardwick Township back in 2011. Skeele was 26 at the time.

Prosecutors say Skeele engaged in various sexual acts with the minor while working the medical tent at the camp.

Skeele pleaded guilty to criminal sexual contact. This charge was tacked on to federal child porn charges in 2020. He is currently serving a federal prison sentence for distributing child sexual abuse material.
