Residents across the Garden State spent Labor Day saying goodbye to summer.Many New Jersey residents headed down to the Jersey Shore. The day shaped up to be a perfect beach day with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid to upper 80s. The warm, dry weather is expected to stay until Friday when showers are expected to arrive in the Garden State.Some at the Jersey Shore also observed National Guard Day. About 500 families of National Guard members marked the day at the beach.
