A fire ripped through four homes in Bayonne Sunday, leaving at least 30 people homeless.
The fire began in the afternoon in a home on 18th Street and quickly spread to neighboring homes. David Camilo says he got out of his burning home in the nick of time. ?Flames, just flames, flames going all the way up,? Camilo said.
Firefighters were able to get all of the residents out safely. It took at least three hours for firefighters to put out the flames. One firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion.
Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the blaze. Meanwhile, the Red Cross is helping at least 30 people find temporary shelter.
