"We're praying for all the families, members and victims. It's a tragedy for our city, but we're strong and resilient," said Caba. "This is a devastating loss for a family and for our community. On behalf of the City of Perth Amboy, I extend my deepest condolences to everyone affected by this tragedy."

The mayor added, "I want to thank our police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and mutual aid partners who responded to the scene and worked tirelessly under difficult circumstances.
