Fish fill flooded street in Newark

Flooding in Newark left fish flopping on the street near Weequahic Park. Large carp poured out of an overflowing lake at Weequahic Park and out onto the street, even into flooded Meeker Avenue. News

Flooding in Newark left fish flopping on the street near Weequahic Park.
Large carp poured out of an overflowing lake at Weequahic Park and out onto the street, even into flooded Meeker Avenue.
News 12 New Jersey photojournalist Joe Caruso captured county employees as they worked to get the stranded fish back into the lake. 
The City of Newark Health Department issued a warning to residents not to eat the fish, as they are unsure how the exposure to elements outside of the fish's natural domains will affect them.
News 12 New Jersey meteorologists say periods of rain will continue through Tuesday.
