One firefighter was hospitalized following a three-alarm fire in Carteret Friday morning.

Firefighters had their hands full on Jeanette Street, not only dealing with the flames, but also the sweltering temperatures.

Fire officials say a garage fire spread to two vehicles and a boat, with companies responding just before 10 a.m.

Multiple units and a hazmat team were part of the response.

Fire officials say the homeowner was OK.
