A Clifton firefighter being promoted to deputy chief has been accused of corruption and racism.
The Rosemwar section of Clifton, which has a large Orthodox Jewish population, claims firefighter Norman Tahan compared Jews to dogs online in 2006. They also say he has used fire equipment for personal use.
Tahan has apologized for whatever was posted online and says the group is misinformed about many of their claims. Angry Rosemwar residents are asking the attorney general to investigate his actions regardless.
