A fire at an eye care center in Freehold Township temporarily shut down a portion of West Main Street, also known as County Route 537.

Officials say the blaze at Millennium Eye Care has been burning since about 10 a.m. The building houses a chiropractor, Freehold Surgical and Genesis Eye Wear.

Multiple crews responded from all over the Freehold Township region to get the fire under control.

There is no word yet on the cause of the fire or if there are any injuries.
