A fire that broke out in the recycling room at a
Caldwell University dorm sent students fleeing from the building.
Firefighters received the
call Monday around 5:17 p.m.
When the crew arrived, they found heavy smoke on the
second floor and quickly put out a fire in the recycling area.
The blaze stayed contained because of the quick
response and a working sprinkler system.
The students were relocated
to other residence halls. There were no injuries to report.
The cause of the fire is unknown
at this time.
