A fire has sparked at the Alden Leeds Corporation chlorine plant for the third time in two months.
The fire started around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday at the plant on Jacobus Avenue. It appeared to have been extinguished about an hour later.
Authorities have not released much information about the fire. It was unclear if anyone was hurt.
The plant previously had a fire on May 17. The fire forced the closure of the Pulaski Skyway for a day. People who lived near the plant were told to keep their doors and windows closed due to the potentially dangerous fumes.
