Police, SWAT and FBI teams swarmed a Manahawkin home Thursday and discovered a suspected methamphetamine lab.
Mark Friedman, 42, is accused of running the lab from his home. According to authorities, the materials and substances the man used could have caused a major explosion in his home. Investigators were tipped off about the suspected Deerlake Court lab after neighbors complained of a smell coming from the detached two-level garage. Police say Friedman was buying cold medicine containing pseudophedrine to make the toxic drug.
HAZMAT teams removed boxes of evidence from the garage. Friedman was arrested and charged with possession and distribution of the drug. No charges have been filed against Friedman?s wife or teenage daughters.
