Counties across New Jersey
continue to design plans to better prepare for the next storm, 10 years
after Superstorm Sandy.
The plans are made possible
from a federal grant. Some cities in North Jersey such as Hoboken and Newark
plan to build storm surge barriers that can double as walkways.
Towns along the Raritan Bay,
such as South Amboy, will need to build elevated flood walls.
Places such as Long Beach
Island will set better guidelines to prevent flooding.
