Alumni, students and fans of Fairleigh Dickinson University’s basketball team gathered Wednesday night to celebrate a win in the NCAA Tournament.
The group watched the game at Hackensack Brewing Company, which is not far from the FDU campus.
FDU defeated Texas Southern 84-61. It was the team’s second-ever NCAA win.
"It's always exciting you know when a small school makes the big tournament. You gotta come out you gotta celebrate, you gotta have a couple of drinks,” says Alexander McLucas, vice president of the Black Alumni Association, of FDU.
Up next is No. 1 Purdue.
Fairleigh Dickinson isn’t the only New Jersey school trying to advance. Princeton is facing No. 2 Arizona.
