Nearly four years after a beloved Bloomingdale barber was murdered in his shop, the FBI says it will get involved in the investigation.

Frank Halat was found severely beaten inside his barber shop on April 1, 2011. A customer found him inside lying on the floor face down and unconscious. He died a few days later at the hospital from severe head trauma.

Bloomingdale police, the Passaic County prosecutor and the FBI are reopening the case. The agencies will re-interview witnesses, re-examine evidence and use new DNA testing technology in an effort to find the person responsible for Halat's death. They will also look once again at video surveillance from the neighborhood.

There is a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the murder of the man the community referred to as "Frank the Barber."
