A man who allegedly abducted his son from the boy's mother at knife point now faces a multitude of charges.
An Amber Alert was issued Monday morning after William Merino allegedly abducted the 9-month-old boy in New Brunswick. Police say he got into an argument with the boy's mother and allegedly pulled a knife on her.
The Amber Alert was canceled nearly three hours later when Merino was found sitting on a bench on George Street.
Merino was charged with kidnapping, terroristic threats and endangering the welfare of a child. He remains in custody while bail is set.
The little boy was not harmed.
