Bergen County authorities have charged a Bronx man with killing a woman more than 30 years ago when he was 13. Police arrested 44-year-old Thomas Atkinson Monday at his catering job in Moonachie. Authorities say Atkinson stabbed 27-year-old Joyce Paneck-Saglimbene in an Englewood parking garage during a robbery in 1976. Prosecutors believe the teen wanted the woman's purse and killed her because she put up a fight. One of the victim?s family members says he thought the case was forgotten. However, after three decades, Paneck-Saglimbene?s brother says some of his questions have finally been answered. It?s still unknown, if Atkinson will be tried as a juvenile or an adult. Paneck-Saglimbene?s brother says he would like to see the prosecution push for the case to be tried in criminal court. Related Information: BX man charged in 1976 Englewood parking garage murder
