A Sussex County family has been the target multiple times of anti-Semitic graffiti.

The Hampton Township family says that their property has been defaced several times within the past two weeks. Now Sussex County officials are standing with the family in a show of support.

“Hate has no home in Sussex County,” says state Sen. Steven Oroho.

On Sept. 22 and again on Sept. 29, Adam Stolarsky and Colleen Murch say that they woke up to first find a swastika painted on their garage door and a campaign banner for Rep. Josh Gottheimer vandalized with anti-Semitic slurs. The second time they found more profanity and the words “I am a Jew” written.

Their neighbor’s home was also defaced.

The Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating and the county sheriff’s office is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

"The law enforcement community vows to do all that we can to hold the individual or individuals accountable for these contemptible crimes,” says Prosecutor Francis Koch.
