Famed basketball announcer and New Jersey native Dick Vitale has been diagnosed with lymphoma.
It’s the second time in just a few months the broadcaster has been diagnosed with a form of cancer.
In August, Vitale announced he had several surgeries to get rid of melanoma.
Doctors don't believe the lymphoma is related. They say there is a 90% cure rate for the type of lymphoma he has.
Vitale grew up in Garfield and coached basketball in New Jersey. He was also an assistant coach at Rutgers University.
Vitale has been with ESPN since just after the network launched in 1979. He was inducted into the basketball hall of fame in 2008.
