Officials in Fair Haven helped residents aged 65 and older register for an appointment to get vaccinated against the coronavirus.
Seniors have been eligible for the vaccine for around two months, but some have struggled to find appointments.
In total, 100 seniors were given the opportunity to register for vaccine appointments as soon as the beginning of next week.
According to the state, 31% of residents aged 65 to 79 have received a COVID-19 vaccine, but only 11% for those 80 and over.
New Jersey’s designated hotline for seniors to get appointments is (856) 249-7007.
The pop-up site was a coordinated effort between the Fair Haven Police Department, the Office of Emergency Management, elected officials and the Red Band Visiting Nurses Association.
