FAA to cap weekend flights at Newark Liberty International Airport

Pilots and controllers recently lost communication at the airport several times. Officials say the reduced traffic is already helping.

The Federal Aviation Administration will begin capping flight operations at Newark Liberty International Airport starting Sept. 1.
Arrivals and departures will be limited to 28 per hour on weekends due to runway construction. All others are capped at 34 per hour through late October.
