The Newark Museum of Art is filled with centuries' worth of artifacts, including the arts of global Africa where visitors can interact with one of the pieces: a head dress.

In this week’s Road Trip Close to Home, News 12 New Jersey looks at some of its newest installations. The Newark museum also has 18th and 19th century American galleries, an exhibit on African American slavery and an exhibit on the Spanish Caribbean body.
