A former Brick Township councilman is accused of allegedly having inappropriate sexual contact with a 15-year-old boy.
Daniel Toth was arrested Monday after the teen reported the allegations to Jackson police. Toth is charged with criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child.
Toth was a council member in Brick until 2013 when he did not seek re-election so that he could run for mayor. He lost the Republican mayoral primary. He is currently running for office once again.
Toth is suspended without pay from his job as an Ocean County garage attendant. He is out on $100,000 bail.
News 12 New Jersey tried reaching out to Toth, but no one answered at his home.
