Property taxes seem to be a never-ending issue in New Jersey, and residents in Piscataway say they?re really feeling the pain.
Though Piscataway officials are only raising property taxes by six cents, residents say it?s still too much. Many residents on fixed incomes say any amount is usually too much because as taxes increase, salaries stay the same.
Some say they just grin and bear it. Others say if residents can?t take the higher taxes, they should live somewhere else. Meanwhile, towns, including Piscataway, are trying to balance their budgets with the lowest possible tax increase.
