The “Blue Envelope Program” encourages safer interactions between police officers and those with autism.

Drivers can store items, like their insurance and registration cards, inside. It is also a visual cue for the officers to know what they are dealing with.

Essex County residents can get a blue envelope from their local police department free of charge.
