The first New Jersey baby born in 2009 might also be the country's first baby of the new year.
After nearly 15 hours of labor, Miris Moreno gave birth to little baby Edgar one second after midnight at St. Barnabas Hospital. The bundle of joy was born weighing 7 pounds, 4 ounces.
There is no official word if Edgar is the country's first baby born in 2009, but his parents believe he is.
