Elizabeth firefighter injured in Newark cargo ship fire released from hospital

An Elizabeth firefighter who was injured while fighting a fire on a cargo ship at Port Newark has been released from the hospital.
Firefighter Warren White was discharged from the burn center at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center Friday afternoon.
Firefighters from all over New Jersey came to the hospital to see him released.
White was hurt fighting a cargo ship fire at Port Newark that started Wednesday night. That fire was still burning as of Friday evening.
Two Newark firefighters were killed. Wayne Brooks Jr. and Augusto Acabou died Wednesday night after becoming trapped.
Five firefighters, including White, were injured.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
