(06/21/06) EDISON ? One family in Edison says it?s still trying to get over the shock of a police cruiser crashing into their living room Monday night.
Lori Friedman says the vehicle ultimately rested just inches from where her daughter was sitting in the living room. As a result, Friedman?s childhood home was severely damaged. As bad as the incident was, Friedman claims she?s also very upset with Edison?s response to the crash. She claims she?s had to rely on neighbors, not the police department, for food and shelter.
Edison Mayor Jun Choi claims he?s working with the police department to take care of Friedman?s needs. Choi says his office and the police department take full responsibility for the incident. The mayor is asking for an internal investigation into the crash, and he says appropriate actions will be taken once the facts are gathered.
