Some Edenwald residents say they are getting ticketed because the Department of Sanitation doesn't pick up trash when it?s supposed to.
Residents say they were fined $100 for leaving their trash out on Sunday. They claim the bags were there because a garbage truck never came by on Saturday, which is their scheduled trash pickup day.
When News 12 The Bronx contacted the sanitation department, a truck was sent over to pick up the garbage. The department claims it is looking into why residents were ticketed despite the late trash pickup.
