A Bergen County dinner celebrated a milestone birthday this weekend.
The Candlewyck Diner in East Rutherford just turned 50. To celebrate, it offered 50 cent coffee, sodas and cheesecake.
The diners' owners say seeing customers come from near and far all these years gives them reason to celebrate.
"I been here since I'm 13 years old. I've seen generations grow up," says James Logothetis, owner of the diner. "I've seen fathers bringing their children and their children continue to come to the Candlewyck."
The diner prides itself on giving back to groups like Ronald McDonald House and Hackensack Children's Hospital.
