East Brunswick police rescued two people who became trapped in a car in floodwaters during Thursday afternoon's storms.
Video released by police shows officers speaking with the stranded driver, who told them, "The car's off, we lost power," after they were asked if they could roll the window down.
The occupants were eventually able to lower the window. Officers, standing in knee-deep water, carefully helped the two people out of the vehicle and onto a specialized high-water rescue truck.
The rescue happened on Stage Coach Road near Valley Forge Drive.
Viewer video also showed flash flooding in the area.
Police said they received multiple calls for similar incidents around town as the storms moved through.
