? Downtown Paterson?s redevelopment got underway Friday with the ground breaking of the Center City project, but many drivers wonder where they will park during construction.
The city plans to turn a municipal lot into an entertainment and retail destination that will have 1,500 parking spaces. Until that happens, city and county workers will have to find new places to park their vehicles. The Paterson Parking Authority says it plans to accommodate drivers by providing shuttle and valet service. The organization will spend the next month informing commuters about their options.
The municipal lot will officially close May 30.
