Drier, cooler weather ahead for New Jersey; tracking chance for Friday rain

There will be a noticeable drop in humidity levels heading into Tuesday. The next chance for rain arrives Friday.

New Jersey will see drier and cooler weather over the next few days.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Michele Powers says that lower humidity will remain through the middle of the week, with cooler and clearer nights.
WHAT’S NEXT: A cold front will continue to slide through the Northeast tonight.  Temperatures fall back to normal and then fall below average tomorrow. Some heat and humidity build back in for the end of the week. Rain chances start to go up by Thursday and Friday.
TODAY: Mostly sunny. Daytime highs around 81 degrees. Overnight lows around 62.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny skies. Highs around 80 degrees. Overnight lows dip to around 63.

FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy with chance for some rain. Daytime highs around 84. Lows dip to mid-60s.
