Dozens of Long Island officers travel to NYC to pay tribute to slain officer

Police officers from Long Island traveled to the city for the final salute Detective Jason Rivera.
Dozens boarded a bus to Manhattan this morning to stand in solidarity with their brothers and sisters.
One officer News 12 spoke to went to the police academy with Rivera and knew him well.
"He was a great man, great officer. He always had a smile on his face no matter what was happening and I just -I'm at a loss of words for what happened to him,” says Angel Vera, a former NYPD officer.
