A makeover for Fair Haven is being met with mixed reviews from residents and business owners.Sidewalks and roads on six blocks of the downtown business district will soon be re-paved. The project is supposed to improve the look and the safety of the town. However, business owners worry about the impact the road construction will have on their businesses.Along with improving pedestrian and traffic safety from the intersection of River Road and Oak Place the borough intends to make all of the downtowns crosswalks handicap accessible from. The estimated project cost is $750,000 to $900,000 and will take six to nine months to complete.
